Phosphorilated Polyprenols as Universal Agents of Viral Reproduction Suppression

This review is focused on polyprenyl phosphatis (PPFs) (phosphorilated polyprenols), a unique class of natural compounds with wide spectrum biological activity. The main emphasis put their antiviral properties that were studied in numerous vitro and vivo experiments. results formed the basis for development new drugs containing PPFs as active substance. These drugs, due to high efficiency harmlessness, are widely used veterinary practice treatment viral diseases both small domestic agricultural animals. Also, world’s first PPF-based drug registered Russia, it can be part comprehensive therapy chronic recurrent genital infection caused by herpes simplex virus.
